The Honest Truth
I make money when you click my links and buy stuff. That's how I can spend 48+ hours testing each tool and keep this site ad-free. I pay for all subscriptions myself first, and commissions don't change my reviews.
The Full Disclosure
How This Site Makes Money
NSFWReview.com earns revenue primarily through affiliate commissions. Here's exactly how it works:
- I sign up and pay for AI tools with my own money
- I test them for 48+ hours
- I write honest reviews about my experience
- If you click my links and subscribe, I earn a commission (usually 20-40% of your first payment)
- This doesn't cost you anything extra
Which Links Are Affiliate Links?
Generally, any link to a reviewed tool is an affiliate link, including:
- Buttons that say "Try [Tool Name]"
- Links in comparison tables
- Discount code links
- Links in reviews to the tool's website
Links that AREN'T affiliate links:
- Links to competitors' review sites
- Links to Reddit, news articles, or research
- Links to free tools (they don't have affiliate programs)
My Promise to You
I commit to:
- Test everything myself: I spend $2,400+ monthly on subscriptions
- Be honest about flaws: Every review includes real cons
- Update reviews: When tools change, I retest and update
- Disclose relationships: If a company pays for placement, I'll say so (hasn't happened yet)
- Recommend alternatives: Including free ones when they're good enough
Why Trust Affiliate-Supported Reviews?
Fair question. Here's my perspective:
- It lets me keep the site completely ad-free
- I can spend days testing instead of minutes
- No paywalls or premium memberships
- I'm incentivized to recommend tools you'll actually keep (I only get paid if you don't immediately cancel)
- You can verify my reviews by trying the free trials yourself
How to Support Without Buying
If you find my reviews helpful but don't want to buy anything:
- Share my reviews on Reddit (genuinely helps a lot)
- Bookmark the site for later
- Send feedback about what reviews you want
- Tell friends who might be interested
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is required by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials. I follow FTC guidelines by:
- Clearly disclosing affiliate relationships
- Only recommending products I've actually used
- Providing honest opinions, including negatives
- Not making false or misleading claims
